A passenger train approaching the railway bridge over Ballingdon Street, heading North up the line to Long Melford and beyond. The tall chimney served the town sewage and refuse disposal works but what was the long building in the foreground, parallel to Ballingdon Street? Date c1960?

The market town of Sudbury, on the borders of Suffolk and Essex, has a long and fascinating history. Much of the way of life in the town since the invention of photography has been caught on camera.
