Diana Princess of Wales talks to staff on her visit to the Lucas CAV/Delphi factory on 27th July 1993. Colin Hull, Factory Manager, on the left. She also visited William Wood House that day where she spent some time sitting outside on a bench, chatting to two elderly residents. When she had left one said to the other, "What a lovely lady! Who was she?"

The market town of Sudbury, on the borders of Suffolk and Essex, has a long and fascinating history. Much of the way of life in the town since the invention of photography has been caught on camera. The Sudbury Museum Trust has developed this website to show and provide information on a selection of these photographs.
