The Mayoress Maud Cook at the opening of the Bathing Pool at Belle Vue in 1929. Presumably the lady in the swimsuit had won a bathing beauty competition at the event. See also pa 806 and 808-811.

The market town of Sudbury, on the borders of Suffolk and Essex, has a long and fascinating history. Much of the way of life in the town since the invention of photography has been caught on camera.
