A Unity Bowls Club dinner in the 1950s. The Club played on what is now the Sudbury Croquet Club ground, down Quay Lane on the left beyond Cheyne Court. Front row L to R: Ben Bitton, Annie Bitten, Mrs Grimwood, Joe Bitten, ... Nunn. Back Row: Only Mr Earl (extreme left) and Sam Carter (dark suit, third from left) have been identified so far.

The market town of Sudbury, on the borders of Suffolk and Essex, has a long and fascinating history. Much of the way of life in the town since the invention of photography has been caught on camera.
