Mrs Charlotte Griggs celebrates her 100th birthday in the former Sudbury Workhouse in December 1935. The Mayor and Mayoress, Mr and Mrs P.S. Head, were in attendance; the other fur-clad lady on the right was possibly Mrs Stafford Allen who provided a cake with 100 candles for the occasion. The mace bearer is Mr Cresswell.
