Charles Sillitoe the bootmaker standing outside his shop at Nos 5-7 Friars Street. We think that the reflection in the window says 'Berrys Ices' - the Berry family kept the confectioners opposite. These premises were later occupied by Layzell's shoe shop and, today, by Paulie's cafe and Select Hair Designs.
