We have given the location of this photo as Belle Vue but it could be anywhere. Indeed we cannot be certain that the band is local although the postcard came from a local collection. The date is clearly 1928 and we have the names of the band on the back.  We have to assume that they are listed from left to right. They are..Albert Goody ('Alberto'), Fred Tabbitt, Bert Leeder, Reg Cooper, Vincent Bettridge and Benny Bitten.

The market town of Sudbury, on the borders of Suffolk and Essex, has a long and fascinating history. Much of the way of life in the town since the invention of photography has been caught on camera. The Sudbury Museum Trust has developed this website to show and provide information on a selection of these photographs.
