The Municipal Sewage and Refuse Disposal Works at Ballingdon in 1959. Since then most of what is shown in the photo has been demolished leaving only a 'rump' of the old building.

The market town of Sudbury, on the borders of Suffolk and Essex, has a long and fascinating history. Much of the way of life in the town since the invention of photography has been caught on camera.
