The municipal sewage and refuse disposal works at Ballingdon, opened in 1903 and seen here probably a few years later. Much of the building remains although it has lost both its rear section and the towering chimney.

The market town of Sudbury, on the borders of Suffolk and Essex, has a long and fascinating history. Much of the way of life in the town since the invention of photography has been caught on camera.
