The Hills family in 1852, celebrating 20 years of marriage.They were examples of the emerging middle class of business people and shopkeepers who played such an important role in the economic life and the governing of the town in the 19th/early 20th century. They were postmasters c 1840-1906 and ran the jewellers shop in Friars Street into the late 20th century.
