The market town of Sudbury, on the borders of Suffolk and Essex, has a long and fascinating history. Much of the way of life in the town since the invention of photography has been caught on camera. The Sudbury Museum Trust has developed this website to show and provide information on a selection of these photographs.
The Trust is extremely grateful to Awards for All - Lottery Grants for Local People, for the grant which made this possible. It is also indebted to the many individuals and bodies who contributed photographs.
If you have any photos to offer for our collection, please Contact Us. If you are interested in obtaining a high resolution print of any of the images displayed on this website please see The Archive.
